Happy Birthday to Miami's Queen...Gloria Estefan
We hear Miami's Queen of Music Gloria Estefan celebrates her birthday tonight with a private dinner at BLT Steak at the Betsy hotel on Miami Beach.
She's been a busy woman lately after performing Monday night in New York at the US OPEN, getting new music release for 2011 and the rumored participation in the hit TV show Glee. Also coming soon the opening of her latest Bongos Cuban Cafe at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood.

Gloria Estefan ask you to join her TODAY in a march for Human Rights
Our Gloria Estefan is fed up with the human rights violations in Cuba agaisnt political prisoners and Damas de Blanco. Damas de Blanco got beat up recently in Havana during a peaceful protest walk agaisnt the treatment of political prisoners, some even relatives of the women.
TODAY, March 25th, Gloria is asking Miamian's to join the cause and show solidarity with the Damas de Blanco and political prisoners, and to denounce and bring global attention to the human rights violations by the Cuban dictatorship. SEE GLORIA'S SPEECH
Everyone invited to attend a peaceful show of support. No political speaches just a silent walk ending with a prayer service at the end of the route. Organizers want everyone to wear white.

Celebrities come out for the Dolphins/Colt game at Land Shark Stadium

Celebrity owners Gloria and Emilio Estefan, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, Serena and Venus Williams attended Monday nights Dolphins/Colts game at Landshark stadium.
Among the other celebrities in attendance included 3 time Indy champ Helio Castroneves, rapper T-Pain and a pre game performance by co-owner Jimmy Buffett.
Despite the star power, Dolphins lost a close one to the Colts 27-23.

Gloria and Emilio Estefan become partner's of the Miami Dolphins

Grammy Award-winning producer Emilio Estefan, celebrated singer/songwriter Gloria Estefan and Miami Dolphins owner Stephen M. Ross hosted an exclusive breakfast briefing for the announcement that the power couple will become partners of The Miami Dolphins.
The event hosted at the recently renamed, Land Shark stadium in Miami, included many friend's of the Estefan's that came to support them in this major announcement. Friend's included: famed shoe designer Donald Pliner, radio personality Footy, Stephanie Sayfie-Aagaard, Hollywood agent Bernie Yuman, and socialite Norma Quintero.
The Estefan's contribution will include a musical element to be determined, bringing more Latino's to the stadium and even a possible Bongo's Cuban Cafe.
Recently a similar deal was strucked with Jimmy Buffet. "It's what we are... sports and entertainment...a full day experience" said majoy owner of the team Stephen Muss.

Celeb blogger Perez Hilton in Miami
Perez Hilton joined Gloria and Emilio Estefan for dinner at Maison d' Azur at the Astor hotel on Friday night. Perez, aka Mario Lavandeira, signed his book, Red Carpet Suicide, at Books and Books on Lincoln Rd. on Saturday before heading to the Britney Spears concert at the AAA.

Their Majesties King Juan Carlos I and Queen Sophia of Spain were the special guest for the kick off event for the South Beach Wine & Food Festival to celebrate Spain's wine and culinary culture, Viva España! at the Biltmore Hotel last night.
Other luminaries included Florida Governor Charlie Crist, with first lady Carole Rome-Crist , Emilio and Gloria Estefan, Tommy and Thalia Mottola, Mario Batale, Julio Iglesias, Southern Wine's Mel Dick and wife Bobbi, pop artist Romero Britto, Jorge and Darlene Perez.

Cuban Cuisine with the Estefans
Miami's power couple, Gloria and Emilio Estefan share kitchen secrets with the release of, ESTEFAN KITCHEN(Penguin Books Group). The cookbook contains recipe of Cuban favorites like: ropa vieja (shredded beef), Yuca Frita (Cassava Fries), frijoles negros (black beans), and flan de coco (vanilla custard with coconut). If you're not the type to follow a recipe, you can always enjoy the book's recipes at the couple's Bongos Cuban Cafe restaurants in Miami, South Beach, Orlando or Mexico.
Grandma's recipes passed on through the Estefan's and like their music, keeping traditions alive.

Star-Studded event for Miami Children's Hospital Foundation's Diamond Ball and Concert
Miami Children's Hospital Foundation hosted its annual Diamond's Ball and Concert at the American Airlines Arena, this year honoring Beyonce Knowles. The star-studded event also included celebrities: Gloria Estefan, Emilio Estefan, Carlos Ponce with wife Veronica, "I Will Survive" Disco Queen Gloria Gaynor, piano prodigy Ethan Bortnick and a special performance by the "King of Motown" Smokey Robinson.
"This exatraordinary evening of diamonds, celebrities and stars bebefited Miami Children's Hospital Foundation, which supports Miami Children's mission to ensure all children have the opportunity to receive consistent medical care of the highest caliber, no matter where they live," Foundation presiden Lucy Morillo
The Diamond Ball and Private Concert was co-chaired by Patricia and Thomas Cornish, Vivian and Juan Carlos Mas, and Bibiana and Mario Murgado. Other socialites in attendance included, Norma Quintero, Mauricio Zeilic, Gene Presscot, Ana Navarro, Lisa Pliner, James Ferraro, Dr. Steven Kerr, Frank Amadeo, Dan and Tina Carlo.


This year's induction to the International Pediatric Hall of Fame was Beyonce Knowles. Beyonce, who showed up without husband Jay Z, was picked for this years award for her contributions to the Survivor Foundation, which she co-founded.

Gloria Estefan to perform special benefit concert at the Hard Rock Live

Miami's own Gloria Estefan will perform all her greatest hits and feature music from her CD "90 Millas" at the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood on October 24th, 2008. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Education Funds of Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and Indian River County Public Schools, all of which are dedicated to improving the lives of our youth through education.
Today she announced concert plans and donated memoribilia to the Hard Rock alongside husband Emilio Estefan and Mitchell Cypress from The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.

Estefan Empire Expands With New Hotel in Vero Beach
Miami's royalty couple Gloria and Emilio Estefan are about to have another baby to their business empire. On June 16th, The Estefan's inaugurate a boutique luxury resort in Vero Beach, FL, Costa d'Este.
The hotel features 94 deluxe rooms and suites, pool, spa, fitness center, Oriente restaurant (Cuban cuisine, with the influence of Spanish, Latin, and Creole traditions), and facilities for beach weddings and special meetings. Room rates will vary from $189 in summer to $389 in season.
This is the second hotel for the Estefans. They also own The Cardozo Hotel on South Beach, and Bongos Cuban Cafe in Miami and Orlando.
