"The Power of Hope", hosted by Lea and Roy Black is a crucial annual charity gala that benefits Bay Point Schools, an alternative boarding school that provides educational, vocational and therapeutic services to teenage boys whose behavior has led them into anti-social or criminal activity. Based on a program that teaches responsibility, accountability and respect for social norms, the results have been outstanding. Over 90% of Bay Point graduates have never committed another crime, and the Juvenile Justice Accountability Board has rated Bay Point Schools the best program of its kind in the state of Florida. This school and program would not continue to function without the generosity of the supporters and sponsors that contribute to this event.
The The Power of Hope Gala will be held on April 18th at the Eden Roc hotel and includes performances by Lil Wayne, Patti LaBelle, Heather McDonald, Jencarlos Canela and DJ Irie. Special auctioneer for the night will be Pamela Anderson. For additional information please visit www.theblacksannualgala.org or www.baypointschools.com.
