DREAMGIRLS hits the Adrienne Arsht stage

Miami's American Idol Syesha Mercado returned to the Arsht Center last night, this time as part of the cast of the Broadway Series', DREAMGIRLS.

The show also stars the powerful voice of Moya Angela (Effie White) and Adrienne Warren (Michelle Morris). Show runs through this Sunday, October 24.

MAMMA MIA! comes to the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts

MAMMA MIA!, the smash hit musical based on the 70's group ABBA's hit songs, returns to Miami for a week’s run, Tuesday, March 30 through Sunday, April 4 at the Sanford and Dolores Ziff Ballet Opera House in the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County.

Seen by over 40 million people around the world, Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus’ global smash hit musical MAMMA MIA! is currently celebrating 7 sold-out years at the Winter Garden Theatre on Broadway, and is currently playing a record-breaking engagement on its National Tour in the United States. The original West End production has played more than 4,000 performances, an international tour has played in more than 40 foreign cities, and the blockbuster feature film adaptation, produced by Judy Craymer and Gary Goetzman, is the most successful movie musical of all time grossing $600 million worldwide.

Inspired by the storytelling magic of ABBA’s songs from “Dancing Queen” and “S.O.S.” to “Money, Money, Money” and “Take a Chance on Me,” MAMMA MIA! is a celebration of mothers and daughters, old friends and new family found.

CELEBRITY SIGHTING: Legendary TOPOL at Broward Center

Sofia Vergara makes her Broadway debut in CHICAGO

Latina actress Sofia Vergara, flew down on her day off from her debut on Broadway in the musical CHICAGO for a press conference at the Adrienne Arsht Center of the Performing Arts.

Sofia will be part next week of the Miami Broadway Series version of the production before heading back to New York. Should be a good one. Check out the video as she speaks about her new venture in theater acting.
