The LA location has become like a "Cheers" for Hollywood. Celebs like James Spader, Mylie Cyrus, Jessica Beil, Charlize Theron are regulars. Now the Miami Beach location of 8oz Burger Bar is expected to be a celebrity stop as well.
LA's hot burger spot, 8oz Burger Bar, owned by Chef Govind Armstrong and Josh Woodward, along with Eric Fried locally, has arrived on Alton Road. A neighboorhood pub serving a heavily organic menu of burgers, grilled cheese, fish sandwiches, salads, and house-made gastro-pub fare, with plenty of vegetarian offerings. Most everything is house made, from the heirloom tomato ketchup and purple mustards, to house-cured bacon and homemade pickles.
8oz. offers Chef Armstrong signature market driven cuisine in a moderately priced pub setting. Gourmet sides and condiments like fried green tomatos, red-onion marmalade, wisconsin cheese curds, baby spinach, stout battered onion rings. Our soda fountain selections make it the perfect spot for families, while a selection of "adult shakes", along with a pool table and juke box, will make for a great late night pub scene.
The signature burger is a grass-fed "estancia" burgers which is aged in a Himalayan Rock Salt locker. Nothing over $10 on the menu and the bar offer a great selection of handcrafted organic beers and wines. Its the perfect place for a budgets conscious gourmand.
