Larry Rosen's JAZZ ROOTS concert series continued at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, this time with a tribute to Latin Jazz greats Machito and Tito Puente.
An all star line-up performed to a sold out crowd including Teodulo "Chocolate" Armenteros, Arturo Sandoval, Orestes Vilato, Nestor Torres, David Valentin, Sammy Figueroa, the Machito Ochestra, and a special performance by Albita Rodriguez.
Backstage and in the green room artist and VIP's mingled including Jorge and Darlene Perez, Tito Puente, Jr., Ricky Arriola, Ivette Arrango, Sanford and Dolores Ziff , Alan and Diane Lieberman and Late Show with David Letterman's Paul Shaffer.
Next up in the JAZZ ROOTS concert series is a Tribute to Ella and Basie on February 20, with a performance by Patti Austin.
