Jennifer Lopez had a scheduled appearance for June 25th at Books and Books, but that has been cancelled and according to the store "We do not anticipate it will be rescheduled."

Jennifer was going to appear to promote a book inspired by her, but written by Veronica Chamber titled, Amiga's #1: Fifteen Candles, a book about Quinceñeras.

Barbara Walters visits South Florida to promote her new memoir, Audition (Knopf) at TEMPLE JUDEA in Coral Gables.
Barbara recounted her childhood memories when she lived on Palm Island as well as her many interviews, including dictator Fidel Castro, which she denied any romance.

Gina Gershon promotes children's book "Camp Creepy Time" in Miami

Actress and now co-author Gina Gershon with brother Dann Gershon were in town for a reading for the new children's book Camp Creepy Time at Books and Books in Coral Gables. Movie studio Dreamworks has already picked up movie rights of the book for a possible animation. Gershon was the only one in costume. Gina wore a scary nurse and brother Dann was a vampire. Funny man Dave Barry was in the audience with his family and wearing a toilet seat around his neck with Senator Craig written on it. Books & Books owner Mitch Kaplan had a hand on the situation. The other hand had a hook and dressed as a pirate. We guess Gina borrowed his patch.
