New power forward for the new Miami Heat Dream Team, Chris Bosh received a "Welcome to Miami" reception at The Forge restaurant on Miami Beach. Ocean Drive Magazine, which organized the welcome, also presented Chris a special one-of-a-kind portrait painting by Miami's own Romero Britto.

Guest included Forge owner Shareef Malnik, Niche media president Jason Binn, Ocean Drive magazine publisher Courtland Lantaff, socialites Iran Issa Khan and Hello Campos, Ocean Drive Editor-in Chief Suzy Buckley and Dr. Rian Maercks.

In addition to his role as a Miami Heat, Chris will have a monthly column in Ocean Drive. Can't wait to check that out...

Shareef Malnik and The Forge host VIP fundraiser for US Senator Norm Coleman

Shareef Malnik, owner of The Forge and Emilio Gonzalez former White House, Director of Immigration hosted a ultra private and intimate fundraiser for US Senator Norm Coleman on Sunday June 22, 2008 at The Forge. The event attended by numerous VIPS including Republican powerhouse Anne Herberger. Senator Coleman gave his views on the Presidential Election and on his race against Democrat Al Franken.

Senator Coleman sits on the prestigious Senate Foreign Relations Committee; U.S. Senate Special Committee on Aging & Senate Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee.

Showtime hosted a private screening and party for the DVD premeire of Pauly Shore's Natural Born Komics--Sketch Comedy Movie Miami at The Forge restaurant last night. The evening was hosted by Pauly Shore and Vivica Fox. Vivica enjoyed showing us her new bikini by RYGY while Forge owner Shareef Malnik entertained friends Rebecca Gayheart and Grey’s Anatomy actor Eric Dane, who's in town filming Marley and Me with Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson.

The evening began with a fabulous four course dinner created by James Beard award winning chef Andrew Swersky and dancing till sunrise with music from DJ Leonardo del Toro. In the main room, Forge owner Shareef Malnik hosted his table with family and friends including his father and founder of the Forge restaurant Alvin Malnik with his wife Nancy Malnik.
