Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week SWIM took over Miami Beach with the runway tents at the Raleigh hotel coinciding with the swimwear industry's largest trade show at the Miami Beach Convention Center. This years designers showing at the tents included SYLA, Custo Barcelona, Tommy Bahama, Ed Hardy, Pistol Panties, Diesel, and others. Miami's Red Carter was selected as the "Mercedes-Benz Presents" designer for this season's Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim. "We are thrilled to partner with Red Carter for his Spring 2009 runway show," said Lisa Holladay, Manager, Brand Experience Marketing for Mercedes-Benz USA. "Red embodies the true spirit of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim. By uniting the many facets of both Mercedes-Benz and the City of Miami, he seamlessly blends modern inspiration with traditional design elements to create his own bold, yet timeless style."
Off site, other designers showcased their collections: Shay Todd sponsored by NIVEA and Chloe at Setai and Playboy Swim at Set nightclub.

Faces seen at this year's shows included Kristin Cavallari at the Shay Todd, Craig David at the SYLA show, Anna Kournakova attended the Red Carter show, May Anderson, Richy Rich who we saw at the Mercedes- Benz Star Lounge at the Raleigh, Telemundo's Candela Ferro and her boyfriend novela actor Khotan as well as model Cindy Taylor, Irene Marie all at the Custo Barcelona show, Lisa Pliner, Dennis Rodman, Alan Roth, Frank Amadeo, Belkys Nerey, Craig Stevens, famed stylist to the stars ORIBE backstage at the Red Carter show.
Where do we start...Price is Right host Drew Carey having dinner at Quattro on Friday night and Barton G The Restaurant on Saturday...Jennifer Aniston with 2 bodyguards followed by Owen Wilson 30 minutes later at Casa Tua on Saturday night. Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora doing the rounds at Prime 112, then a 10 minute visit to Tantra on Monday night before returning to the Ritz Carlton on South Beach. Tuesday night the duo had dinner at Nobu...Clare Danes hiding out at the Ritz Carlton with boyfriend Hugh Dancy, who is in town filming Confessions of a Shopaholic with Borat girlfriend, Isla Fisher . Isla was also seen strolling with Sacha Baron Cohen eating at World Resources on Lincoln Rd....
