Resorts World Miami Announces Mega Development for the Magic City


Genting Group of Malaysia just announced mega development at the 13.9 acre site of the Miami Herald building in Downtown Miami, which they purchased this past May for $236 million.

The project called Resort World Miami is a $3 billion investment on 10 million square feet. It will consist of 700,000 square feet of convention and meeting space, 200,000-square-foot column-free ballroom, Four super luxury, contemporary, convention and family hotels, 250,000-square-foot luxury retail center and with more than 50 restaurants.





Resort World Miami is being designed by Arquitectonica also features a 1,000-foot-long, 3.6-acre outdoor lagoon, a 3-mile baywalk that will link the Omni area with Museum Park, the American Airlines Arena, Bayside Marketplace and Bayfront Park.


A huge impact for Miami which will generate 15,000 jobs during construction and 30,000 when the job is completed. The Genting Group is also making the property, casino-ready, as they are lobbying for it with the state.

Downtown Miami is finally growing up with all the area businesses like the Adrienne Arsht Center, Museums, American Airlines Arena and Bayside benefitting. The Genting Group has also made investment in the nearby OMNI building.


The design of the buildings will be a great addition to the Miami skyline as the curvy buildings will be lit at night with LED lighting.

Resorts World Miami has been designed – and will be constructed – in accordance with
all applicable zoning codes and regulations, including Miami 21, the City of Miami’s
comprehensive zoning code.
