Women of Wynwood (WOW) recently held their first general meeting at Joey’s Italian Café to introduce the pilot program for the beautification of Wynwood, which will run from November 15-January 15, 2009 and hopefully beyond. The program covers a partnership with Constance Collins Margolis of Lotus House Women’s Shelter who will assist in providing a women’s work force that will be trained to clean and beautify the streets of the Wynwood Arts District.

The highly successful kick-off raised closed to half the amount needed for the pilot program at that meeting, with Goldman Properties offering to donate $1 for every $2 that was contributed.

Other guest included: Thea Goldman, South Beach pioneer Tony Goldman, art collector Marty Margolis, Rhonda Mitrani, Nina Johnson, Dina Mitrani,Yvette Garcia, Vanessa Ruiz and Jessica Goldman Srebnick.
