The Citizens Interested in Arts (CIA) luncheon presented the first "Champion of the Arts" award to PR guru Charlie Cinnamon at the Eden Roc on Miami Beach.
Broadway producer Richard Jay-Alexander, presented Charlie with the award after an introduction by Lenore Toby-Simmons, president of the CIA.
Among the many friends to witness the tribute included: Terry Zarikien, Glenn Albin, Eric Newill, MIAMI Modern Luxury's publisher Leslie Wolfson, Aventura magazine's Lori Capullo, Barton G., Toby Ansin, Elyze Held, WEAM Director Naomi Wilzig, Channel 7's Belkys Nerey, Joy Abbot, who told us a movie is in the works for Damn Yankees, one of the many productions of her late husbandGeorge Abott, Miami Herald Society writer Stephanie Sayfie-Aagaard, Channel 4's Lisa Petrillo, Mr. Miami Beach Michael Aller and others.
The afternoon ended with eight year musical prodigy, Ethan Bortnick.
