EVENTS


MIAMI BOOK FAIR is one of Miami's best annual events. This year the fair celebrates its 25th anniversary. Come out to the street fair with vendors selling books on all range of subjects. Check out also The Comic Galaxy, a new section dedicated to Comics, and The Write Out Loud Cafe, a forum for local artist and poetry readings. Also don't miss the Children's alley, International village and the Antiquarian Annex.
The best feature of the fair is to get up close with your favorite author, this year with speakers like Vernon Jordan, Alonzo Mourning, George Hamilton, Martha Stewart, Carl Hiassen, and Salman Rushdie.
The fair takes place at Miami Dade College, Downtown Miami. 300 NE Second Ave.


Broadway comes to the Broward Center with Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Opens on Tuesday November 18, 2008. 201 SW Fifth Ave.


Celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain comes to the Arsht Center to speak about his adventures on the Travel Channel and talk about his book Kitchen Confidential. 8 PM, November 14, 2008, 1300 Biscayne Blvd.

Da Campo Osteria inside the Il Lugano hotel in Ft. Laudedale. Famed chef Todd English brings his Northern Italian fare to Broward or as he says "Simple, fresh and prepared correctly". Definately a must!!! Try the fresh mozarella, made fresh tableside. 3333 NE 32nd. Avenue
