The world renowned Blue Man Group made a special performance at the Miami Children’s Museum as part of a sneak preview of their exciting new traveling exhibit: Blue Man Group ~ Making Waves.
Throughout the interactive exhibit, Blue Man Group ~ Making Waves, participants can see, feel, hear, and create sound in the fun-filled signature Blue Man style. Within the visually luminescent atmosphere, the exhibit includes an array of Blue Man Group instruments encouraging exploration and discovery. The sounds emitted from the instruments are as unique as their names: Slide-u-lum, Build-u-lum, Sand Drum and Theremin. The Making Waves experience culminates in the JBL®-equipped Surround Sound Theater, where engineering genius combines with a musical piece by Blue Man Group illustrating the wonder and joy of sound. The 1,500 square foot exhibit, designed to unite science and art, offers a playful, innovative approach to science & sound, with a multi-sensory exploration that will thrill visitors of all ages.
The exhibit runs through February 9th, 2009. Entrance to the exhibit is included with your regular paid admission. The Museum is open to the general public seven days a week from 10:00a.m. to 6:00p.m. Regular admission to the museum is free for MCM members and children under 12 months; non-member adults and children are $12. Miami Children’s Museum is located at 980 MacArthur Causeway on Watson Island in Miami. For more information contact the Museum at 305.373.KIDS (5437) or visit online at miamichildrensmuseum.org.
