Saturday night was a flashback of the Miami freestyle scene of Casanova's, Rick's bar, The Pulse of Miami TV show, Miami Beat newspaper, and even Sound of Destiny and Magestic Sound DJ's.
Power 96 presented Miami Freestyle Invasion concert on Saturday night to a sold-out crowd at the Bank United Center in Coral Gables. Among the performers singing the classics of Miami's 90's club scene: Secret Society ("We Belong Together"), Giggles ("Love Letters"), Johnny O ("Fantasy Girl"), Cynthia ("Change on Me"), Safire ("Let Me Be The One"), Coro ("Can't Let You Go"), Noel ("Silent Morning"), Fascination ("Why You Want to Go"), &More ("You'll Never Find Another Love"), David formerly of Nice and Wild ("Diamond Girl"), Nayobe ("Please Don't Go"), and others. The night's headliner was Grammy nominated Shannon, who is celebrating 25 years of the club athem, Let the Music Play. Power 96 DJ's Eddie Mix (also music director), DJ Laz, and Mickey Garcia from Micmac records also present.
