Texas de Brazil, the hot Brazilian steakhouse, celebrated the opening of its 30,000 square-foot Miami Beach location with an invitation-only cocktail reception last night. VIP guests included NBC6's Willard Sheppard, Dan and Merle Weiss, Where magazine's Irene Moore, gospel songstress Maryell Epps, who did an impromptu rendition of I Will Survive, and also on hand Miami Herald's Shelley Acoca and Michael Hamersly. Guest had the opportunity to dance to the rhythms of Brazilian Explosion as they explore the beautiful dining destination comprised of a main dining room boasting an eye-catching 100 item salad-bar and ceiling-high flower arrangements, and Beijios Lounge, the restaurant’s upscale bar/lounge area as well as a patio and private dining areas that overlook Biscayne Bay.
Sumptuous hors d'oeuvres prepared by culinary director Evandro Caregnato included: chicken breast wrapped in bacon, garlic picanha, Brazilian sausage, crostinis with goat cheese and blood orange marmalade, phyllo dough shells with a shrimp and avocado mousse and chocolate dipped strawberries. Delish!!! Texas de Brazil is located at the Miami Beach Marina, above Monty's, 300 Alton Road.
