Miami joined 20 other U.S. cities to host “The James Beard Foundation’s Taste America™,” a national food festival celebrating the world-renowned culinary organization’s 20th anniversary and the legacy of James Beard. “The James Beard Foundation’s Taste America™” will feature several culinary experiences headlined by some of America’s most influential regional and national restaurateurs. The Miami event included a cocktail party and dinner featuring two James Beard Award-winning chefs, Mark Militello and Norman Van Aken, who joined a group of top chefs headed by rising star Clay Conley of Azul at Mandarin Oriental, Miami. Among other guest Tina Carlo board member of the Miami City Ballet and Dan Carlo of the law firm Holliday, Fenoglio,and Fowler, developer Tony Goldman with son Joey Goldman, Southern Wine & Spirits' Senior Sommelier Cesar Basurto, socialite Diane Sepler, Stephanie Sayfie-Aagaard with husband Morton Aagaard, Madarin Oriental General Manager Jorge Gonzalez with wife Cindy Gonzalez, Elaine Spottswood and Andrea Bearbower, from the Absolut Spirits Company.
