Bombshell Summer Tour stops on South Beach with Alessandra Ambrosio

Brazilian model Alessandra Ambrosio posed on Lincoln Road today as part of the Victoria's Secret Bombshell Summer Tour.

Her daylong promotional trip to South Beach included a spa day for special VIP guest at the Mondrian hotel then in the afternoon she greeted and posed for pics with fans at the Victoria's Secret store on Lincoln Road.

Women of Tomorrow celebrate annual gala

Victoria Secret's model and this month's Ocean Drive magazing covergirl Selita Ebanks and Serena Williams attend this year's Women of Tomorrow gala at the Mandarin Oriental hotel.

This year's chair was Marisa Toccin, Madeline and Micky Arison, Honorary Chairmen, Lora and Fred Drasner, Legacy Builder Honorees, Jason and Haley Binn, Empowerment Award Honorees, Sharon Siegel, President & Founder of DECO Productions & Grande Affaires, Excellence Honoree and Karen Piazza, Mentor of the Year.

An initial study showed a statistically significant improvement in the self-esteem of the young girls participating in the program. Recent analysis has shown that Women of Tomorrow Mentees demonstrate a statistically significant increase in their grade point averages (GPA) each year they are involved in WOT. In addition, WOT Mentees graduate from high school at close to a 90% rate compared to county-wide high school graduation rates that hover around 60%.

Currently, the Women of Tomorrow program is implemented in 99 Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach County public high schools in 42 South Florida cities and serves 2,000 mentees with its network of 250 mentors. Since the inception of its Scholarship Program in 2000, WOT has awarded over $2.3 million in scholarships to 838 WOT Mentees.

The Women of Tomorrow Mentor & Scholarship Program was founded in 1997 by Author & Television Journalist Jennifer Valoppi and Telemundo Network President, Don Browne.

Miami Beach's New Fontainebleau Debuts With Star-Studded Weekend Celebration

Finally one of Miami Beach's landmarks returned with a weekend celebration and star-studded glory. The re-grand opening of Fountainbleau on Friday night looked like a who's who of Hollywood with celebrities like Kate Hudson, Paris Hilton, Molly Simms, baseball player Alex Rodriguez, Gwyneth Paltrow, Diddy, Mariah Carey and Amanda Bynes. This is a far cry from the 50's when the resort was a host to lavish nightlife to icons Frank Sinatra, Elvis, Judy Garland, Bob Hope, Jackie Gleason, and Marilyn Monroe.

The resort has maintain many of its features, designed by famed architect Morris Lapidus in 1952, like the stairway to nowhere, bowties tile floor, circular ceilings, columns, and the glamourous lobby bar. The hotel was also backdrop to many feature films including the Rat Pack. Movies like The Bellboy, The Bodyguard, James Bond's Goldfinger and Scarface.

Among the 22 acre hotel's stats includes:

•1,504 rooms all with a personal iMac

• 58 meeting rooms, and three ballrooms.

•11 restaurants and lounges

• 40,000-square-foot Lapis spa, with 30 treatment rooms

• Pool shaped as re-interpretation of Lapidus' signature bow-tie design

In the old Tropigala space, it has been turned in a new nightclub, LIV (roman numeral 54). The club hosted the Victoria Secret fashion show after party.


On Saturday, Victoria Secret's had its yearly famous fashion show at the FB, to be broadcast on CBS on December 3rd. In attendance Mario Lopez, Seal, Lenny Kravitz, Don Soffer with his good friend's James Caan, George Hamilton and Robert Duvall, performance by Usher, The Hills Brody Jener, Martha Stewart, Kim Kardashian with sister Kourtney, Mario, Sofia Vergara, John Stamos, Brett Ratner, Russell Simmons, Jeff Gordon, and 80's hit wonder Debbie Harry aka Blondie.

Locals also present to celebrate included, Jorge Perez and wife Darlene, Susan Magrino, Charlie Cinnamon, Shareef Malnik, Alvin Malnik, Carmel Ophir, Desiree Gruber, JR and Loren Ridinger, Christina Getty, Michael D'Andrea, Iran Issa Khan, and 1,500 others.

Definately the hit of the season!!!
