Plenty of Love on Valentine's Day with the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the Love and Hope gala, taking place at the Westin Diplomat Resort and Spa in Hollywood.
This year dubbed, The Royal Ball, had a special performance by Bee Gees' frontman Barry Gibb and a special surprise duet partner, Olivia Newton John.
Since its inception, the Love and Hope Ball left its indelible mark on the South Florida social scene, creating an extraordinary evening with a standard of elegance and excitement that continues to delight and surprise its audience and all benefiting the Diabetes Research Institute.
Honored at this year's gala included: Humanitarian Honorees Jill and Cliff Viner; Honorary Chairmen Barbara, Cassandra and David Herzberg; Love Honoree Linda Widrich Weitz; Hope Honorees Helene and Marc Kovens; Anniversary Honorees The Lowe Family, in memory of Eleanor Lowe; Gold Star Shirley Harris; Silver Star Florence Frank; Cocktail Reception Hosts Senator Paul and Sandy Steinberg; and Preview Party Underwriter Isabel May.
Other VIP's included: Life Chairman Sonja Zuckerman, Executive Chairman Sandra Levy, Linda Gibb, Roy and Lea Black, Rudy and Betsy Perez, Mel and Fran Harris, Barbara and son David Hettzberg, Melanie and Ryan Herman, Dr. Jay Skyler with wife the Hon.
