Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week SWIM: Hot in the summer

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week SWIM took over Miami Beach with the runway tents at the Raleigh hotel coinciding with the swimwear industry's largest trade show at the Miami Beach Convention Center. This years designers showing at the tents included SYLA, Custo Barcelona, Tommy Bahama, Ed Hardy, Pistol Panties, Diesel, and others. Miami's Red Carter was selected as the "Mercedes-Benz Presents" designer for this season's Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim. "We are thrilled to partner with Red Carter for his Spring 2009 runway show," said Lisa Holladay, Manager, Brand Experience Marketing for Mercedes-Benz USA. "Red embodies the true spirit of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim. By uniting the many facets of both Mercedes-Benz and the City of Miami, he seamlessly blends modern inspiration with traditional design elements to create his own bold, yet timeless style."
Off site, other designers showcased their collections: Shay Todd sponsored by NIVEA and Chloe at Setai and Playboy Swim at Set nightclub.
